Photo and video recordings

Images can be taken during events. In the following, we will inform you about the type and purpose of the pictures, about the legal basis and your rights.
The images are used for the following purposes:

Provision of the recordings for the participants; Internal image database or image archive; Presentation and application of our own achievements; References to further and similar events; Our own print media and comparable publications; Public reporting on the event; Public relation; Use on our website; Publication on social media; Use by press and media.

Type of recording: photographs and video recordings.
Legal basis of the recordings: legitimate interests in the use of the recordings for the aforementioned purposes in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f., 85 GDPR in connection with §§ 22, 23 KUG.
Retention period of the image recordings: The image recordings are kept for as long as is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. The image recordings can be stored internally without restriction, for example to secure copyright claims by proving original recordings and also for reasons of historical documentation. In the case of publication, the recordings can be published as long as the respective publication medium, article or article is publicly accessible.
Our social media posts are deleted every 2 years.

Notes on third-party images: Images can also be taken by the participants of the event on their own responsibility. We ask the participants to consider each other's personal rights. During the event, media representatives can be on site and take pictures on their own responsibility.
